discussion
1. Update on sub-groups activities
Report by each sup-group leader/co-leader
- Idea subgroup: In order to join this subgroup you will need to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. The group is setup and will be consulted by Blackboard for new idea/technologies. So far no meetings.
- Testing subgroup: Testing is up and coming. The testing subgroup is currently looking at the grade center
- Q.A. subgroup: The Q.A. subgroup is working on strategies to incorporate accessibility testing into software test plans
- Documentation subgroup: The Documentation subgroup is in the process of putting content up on the Wiki environment. Blackboard will add also their accessibility related contents there. Once enough resources are put there, then the group will revise them and compile 4 types of documentations.
2. Goals and milestones for each sub-group
- Best practices for testing
- Usability testing must include accessibility testing.
- Functional testing should also include accessibility testing.
- Conformance testing must include testing to ensure the software complies to Federal accessibility requirements and guidelines.
3. Use of Wiki to centralize members' feedback & documentations
Subgroups are in process of building Wiki for their activities. The links to each subgroup Wiki is available from the collaboration page at http://cita.uiuc.edu/collaborate/blackboard/
4. Additional discussions
- Discussion of the goals for each of the subgroups
- Discussion of the need for a more formalized testing process in order to address the gaps in knowledge from one team to another as well as from one team member to another.
