1. Presentations at Educause and Accessing Higher Grounds conferences
   • Last year at AHG (Accessing Higher Grounds); well atended, well received; productive;
   • Bridging two conferences--Accessing Higher Grounds and Educause
   • more IT at educause; Educause has been involved in discussion about accesibility.
   • Planning to submit a proposal to Educause; invite BB and other vendors to raise the awareness at Educause.
   • BB confirmed participation in the panel discussion.
   • Stephanie Will be representing BB at Educause.
   • Proposal will be for main confverence proposal for Educause
   • panel discussion will be an hour session, strategicly important to get something out of it.
   • Focus on imnpact at accessibility via collaboration
   • Thinking about incentive for vendor to talk about accessibility
   • Stephanie is interested in this idea.
   • Last week Educuase said they are looking into vendor accessibility; not formalized yet.
2. BB version 9 is now public; providing feedback
   • Left-over problems from design sub-group are recorded at the behind the blackboard but not under regular categories that testing knows. Stephanie informs Mark Buris about it.
   • BB wants to know how many participants will be working on bb-testing and how much time they are going to dedicate so BB can alocate the necessary resources to it and balance the expectations.
   • Stephanie will continue to dedicate another server (not that one bb-Design was using) for bb-testing for possible testing/evaluation.
   • Continue on improving accessibility via bb-testing sub-group.
3. Screen reader Tutorials for BB version 8
   • screen reader tutorial will be a single html page posted at Blackboard web site. Currently, it is for version 8.x. It will be finalized and posted this week.
   • Next BB works on version 9. Send your feedback to Beth or bb-doc.
   • The easier it is to access the tutorial, the better. Stephanie and Beth will be talking to find a way for potentially posting it outside Behind the Blackboard for easier access.
