Proceedure for Logging into a Lecture |

Proceedure
- Go to the course lecture
homepage
http://www.rehab.uiuc.edu/acms
- A document with two text input forms and a login button should be
loaded
- Type in your login name and password to login to the lecture
management system
- Select the "login" button
- A document will be loaded with a single link, please follow the
link
- A new page will open with a list of links to the course lectures
- Select the link of the lecture you wish to participate (Tour for
the first lecture)
- Following one of the lecture links will take you to a document with a
set of three frames (if frames are disabled, the no frames content will provide
links to open up the web documents in separate browser windows)
Frame or Windows for the Lecture
There are 3 frames or windows associated with the lecture materials. The
frames maybe opened as separate windows or in one window as a set of three
frames (default mode).
Note: In Internet Explorer you can move
between frames with the Ctrl-Tab key.
Slide Window (Frame)
This is where presentation information can be viewed. Each slide has a
navigation bar to tak you to:
- Index of all the presentation slides (Accesskey-I)
- First slide in the presentation (Accesskey-F)
- Previous slide in the presentation (Accesskey-P)
- Next slide in the presentation (Accesskey-N)
- Last slide in the presentation (Accesskey-L)
Send Message Window (Frame)
- Like to realmedia stream for the audio portion of the lecture
(Accesskey-R)
- Text input box for sending messages to the class (Accesskey-M)
- Send button (Press enter or Accesskey-S)
- Log out button (Accesskey-L)
List of Messages (Frame)
The messages that people submit with the send message form will appear
in this window. The messages are formatted in HTML. There are two views of the
messages and two types of control. Links at the beginning of the page allow to
select the view and control you would like to have. The deafult is last 5 and
manual.
Views
- Last five messages, which is useful for slow Internet
connections
- All messages
Control
- Automatic refresh every 5 seconds (Accesskey-A)
- Manual refresh by the user is useful for people using some types of
assistive technologies (Accesskey-M)
