Overview
Designing Universally Accessible Web Resources workshop will provide experiences in:
- How people with disabilities access the web
- Review the current accessibility guidelines
- Demonstrate accessible design practices
This workshop will help disability service professionals, administrators and web developers understand the need for accessible design of web resources and how changes to web development practices and testing can create web resources that are not only more usable by people with disabilities, but are more usable to everyone. Each participant will receive a CD-ROM of software and web resources on web accessibility, including the full workshop presentation.

Presentor
Dr. Jon Gunderson is currently the Coordinator of information technology accessibility for people with disabilities at UIUC in the Division of Rehabilitation Education Services. He has been working in the area of web accessibility for over 8 years and is the past chair of the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative User Agent Accessibility Guidelines working group. He has given numerous presentations and has taught several courses on designing universally accessible web resources.
